We offer a number of activities for members at our Learning & Development Centre in Kirkintilloch. All activities are free to attend so why not come along, meet new people and have some fun.

Winter Term January – March 2019
Due to the changeable weather in the winter months there will be limited weekly classes. We do however, have a selection of one-off activities for you to join in with.
Monday Mornings 10am – 12noon
Social Club & Games – Meet-up-Monday. Pop along for a cuppa and chat with your friends. You will be welcome to make use of the tactile games: Scrabble, Chess, Cards, Domino’s, Boggle and more.
Thursday morning 10am – 12noon
Walking Group Paths for All lead a walking group around the Kirkintilloch area. Each walk lasts around 1 hour 30 minute and covers roughly 2 – 3 miles. Each month the meeting point will change to alter the route of the walk. If you are interested in attending pop along to the stating point below at 10am.

Join us for Tea and Cake to promote positivity and ways to look after your own mental health. The positivity Café is supported by Breathing Space.

Get your dancing shoes on and be led through some social dances, line dancing or for those less active hand dances. All welcome to come and join in or simply sit back and enjoy a social with your friends. Refreshments and cake on offer.

Francie and Josie Tribute Act

Who remembers the first Scottish comedy duo Francie and Josie? For one performance only a tribute to the comedy duo are coming to Deafblind Scotland. Have a laugh while you remember the classic scenes.
Wednesday 27th March 2pm – 3pm
Members of Deafblind Scotland and pupils from Bearsden Academy created a short animation film with accompanying music . We are showing a world premiere of this film along with the film the Drama group created. Be sure to come along to the Learning and Development Centre to see their amazing achievements.
The Deafblind Scotland team are traveling around Scotland to meet with you to find out what you want in your area. We hope you can join us for a cuppa and a chat. The results of our consultation will help us shape the activities we offer our members across Scotland in the future.
