Deafblind Scotland are hosting on-line zoom sessions to promote health and wellbeing from Tuesday 18th – Friday 21st January 2022. We will host both physical and information sessions.

Tuesday 18th January
10.30am – 11.30am Welfare Rights Advice
Helen and Maureen will tell you about benefits available at this time. If you have any questions, let us know in the reply sheet to be answered during the live session.
2.00pm – 3.00pm Pilates with Alison
A sequence of mindful movements to help improve strength & flexibility to help our bodies move and function more efficiently with daily life.
From guidance of simple breathing techniques to core strengthening exercises, pilates has a little special something for every body!
Wednesday 19th January
10.30am – 11.30am Good Mood Food and the Power of the Mind (Part 1)
Catriona will be discussing what foods aid good Mental Health and the mindset that can enable positive mental health through challenges.
Afternoon – Supported Health Walk
We can support you with a guide communicator to get outside and go for a short walk in your area. Tick the reply sheet if you are interested and we will be in touch with a suitable time.
Thursday 20th January

Catriona will be hosting the final sessional on what foods aid good Mental Health and the mindset that can enable positive mental health through challenges.
2pm – 2.45pm Falls Prevention Class
Join Tina and learn strategies to reduce your risk of falls and gentle exercises to improve strength and balance.
Friday 21st January
10.30am – 11.30am Kindness Cafe
Meet up over zoom with other Deafblind People for a long overdue catch-up and a bit of fun. Join us with your cup of tea and re-connect with friends.
2pm – 3.00pm Diabetes Scotland
Volunteer May from Diabetes Scotland will be hosting an informative session on diabetes. Topics will include:
- What is diabetes?
- The signs of diabetes
- The difference between Type 1 and Type 2,
- The risk factors for Type 2,
- Treatment – Diet, Exercise, Medication
