ONLINE COURSE: Understanding Communication with Deafblind People
This course will be made up of a combination of on-line sessions (using ZOOM), online self-study (using an online training platform) and individual time researching the elements of the course as well as practising communication tactics.
To complete a certificated course there will be a 1 hour exam at the end of the course.
Training is delivered by our resident Training Officer, John Whitfield, who is himself dual sensory impaired.

This theory unit covers key facts about deafblindness, and the communication methods used by deafblind people. It also covers the impact of deafblindness on mobility and access and aids to successful communication.
